About us

We are a community-driven organization dedicated to building sustainable futures through environmentally conscious agriculture and education. Our work focuses on integrating guinea fowl poultry farming, vegetable and fruit tree production, and agroforestry to promote food security, biodiversity, and ecological balance, thereby enhancing health, prolonging life, and preventing disease.

Beyond farming, we are passionate about protecting local wildlife, conserving bird species, and raising awareness about the impacts of noise pollution on both human and animal life.

Our Mission

Promote community sustainability through diverse, climate-smart farming practices. We integrate guinea fowl poultry, vegetable and fruit tree production, agroforestry, wildlife conservation, and education on noise pollution. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen local resilience to climate change and protect our shared environment.

We empower communities through sustainable farming practices, environmental education, and creative outreach initiatives. By blending agriculture, conservation, and climate action, we build resilience and inspire local solutions for a greener future.

Vision

We envision a community empowered with forestry literacy and environmental awareness. Through art and storytelling, we engage local voices, especially youth, to reflect on the impacts of climate change and to highlight resilience and community-based solutions through creative expression.

Community Engagement Program
Roots to Wellness: Youth Education Initiative
In partnership with Ithaca-area schools, the Roots to Wellness program offers children hands-on, experiential learning that focuses on food systems, health, and environmental sustainability.
Program Components:
On-Farm Visits:
Interactive field trips where students observe guinea fowl, harvest vegetables, and engage in hands-on agroforestry experiences.
 In-Class Cooking Workshops:
Farm staff or guest chefs lead cooking sessions in schools using fresh produce from the farm. Students prepare simple, healthy meals while learning about nutrition and the origins of their food.

In addition

Seasonal Farm Days:
Families are invited to the farm for harvest celebrations, cooking demonstrations, and educational sessions on health and wellness.
Bird Monitoring and Identification:
Students participate in guided bird-watching activities, learning to identify local species and understand their role in the ecosystem.
Program Goals:
Increase youth awareness of sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, bird conservation, and food justice.
Build children’s confidence in preparing and enjoying healthy, home-cooked meals.
Foster long-term community connections and support healthier lifestyles.

We use creative tools, such as art and storytelling, to engage communities, particularly young people, in exploring the realities of climate change and the potential of local solutions.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to climate resilience, environmental literacy, and empowering communities to lead the way in creating a more sustainable and just future.
